Check it out!
Okay, I know I desperately need to update the blog with pictures, true stories, and such, but alas I am typing one handed due to....that would fall under true stories...anyway, before I forget, I made an amazing discovery. I was checking my email and I had received an email from Redbox, not uncommon since that has become our only way of renting movies, and I noticed that they had a deal through Groupon where you could get 3 one night rentals for $1! Hard to beat that. I then discovered the amazingness of Groupon, and the sweet deals you can get. They have new deals every day. I thought I would spread the wealth and tell you all about it. Well, okay, I don't know much, but what I do know is that so far, I like it! Enjoy!!

So this is Christmas!
As Christmas approaches there is a unique excitement in the air that can only be found at this time of the year. Beautiful lights are put up all around town, malls are bustling with people, and smiles are more frequently shared. This year as we've prepared for Christmas, we have been trying to put more emphasis on the true meaning of the season, the celebration of Christ's birth. Due to what we've experienced this year, we feel it even more important to show our gratitude for our many blessings by focusing on Christ. So although our house is bursting with lights and decorations that make our home feel cozy, we are not focusing on Santa this year, but in the birth of Christ. We have a fun little nativity set my mom gave Gabi last year that she can play with, and we take advantage of her love for this to teach her who each of the people are. I know she's only two, but you would be amazed at how much a two year old can understand. She knows who "baby Jesus" is, Mary, Joseph, the kings, and the angel. I hope we can continue to instill in our children the importance of Christmas.
